MODERN SOLUTIONS FOR TRADITIONAL HOLIDAY: 48TH UAE NATIONAL DAY CELEBRATION AT BEE’AH
At 2ID EVENTS, the main goal is to create ‘one-of-a-kind’ top-notch events for our corporate and private clients. Having a reputation for flexibility, quick responses, and prompt solutions to changes, clients often come back to us again and again. It wasn’t the first time we had the pleasure to work with Bee’ah. The company’s staff was amazed by our glitter show at one of their corporate events, and we were thrilled to partner up once more. Planning and managing the UAE National Day, one of the most important holidays of the year, had become an interesting and challenging task for our team.
UNIQUE SOLUTIONS THAT STAND OUT
The ability to hear the client and understand his vision is what makes a good event company a great one. At 2ID EVENTS, we believe that building a trusting relationship with our customers is key to success. That is why when Bee’ah said that they want a pleasant atmosphere with unexpected solutions, our team started working on the concept right away.
The objective was to preserve traditional elements of the Arabic culture. The celebration took place on Flag Island, a beautiful place in Sharjah with palm trees and green grass. We wanted to keep the atmosphere light and enhance it with elegant decorations. That is when our executive director, Alia Shchiglo, came up with the concept: a combination of classic Arabic themes and sleek modern details. Although standard ceremonies include a covered tent, 2ID EVENTS decided to go in another direction. For a National Day, the idea was for the guests to feel freedom and freshness in the air. A huge open tent with intertwining baldachins of UAE national colours was an unexpected, but elegant solution.
To give the client a visual understanding of the concept, we prepared a 3D presentation. Needless to say, Bee’ah approved the theme right away and the preparations began.
THE DEVIL IS IN THE DETAILS
Never leaving the client out of the process is key to establishing a trusting relationship. 2ID EVENTS coordinators constantly maintained the communication and sent pictures from the site so that the client was sure everything went just as planned.
Considering the scale of the celebration, there was a lot of work to do. The production and preparation part took 1 week and our main goals were:
- Constructing a huge tent with red, green, white, black baldachins and Arabic traditional decoration elements.
- Delivering the necessary furniture.
- Making flower arrangements.
- Preparing activity areas for adults and kids.
- Planning an entertainment part.
ALWAYS HAVING A PLAN B
Life isn’t perfect and sometimes things do not go as planned. But what our clients appreciate – is the ability to find a solution. The original proposal included a gorgeous Mosaic wall that would add to the elegant and sophisticated atmosphere. Due to the busy season, there was no way of providing a wall that would meet our highest criteria.
Being limited in time and options, we found an interesting replacement: a photo booth. It would be perfect for such an occasion: the guests would be able to take photos and capture great memories. The client approved, and the booth was delivered to the site in a matter of hours.
HONOURING THE PAST, CELEBRATING THE PRESENT AND BUILDING THE FUTURE
The most important task was to create an event that our client would enjoy and remember for a long time. Although it only lasted several hours, guests made tons of bright memories.
The activity stands that included coffee printing, henna body art, and Arabic calligrapher kept the celebration light and fun. To make it interesting for children of the company’s staff members, there was an interactive kids area. Our small guests had the opportunity to try themselves in 8 different professions by wearing special costumes and playing games.
The audience was also stunned by an extraordinary glitter show. In a matter of minutes, the artists drew a picture of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan that impressed even the most demanding guests.
